Project Description
Hank Riggio Play area was an existing facility that featured outdated equipment, poured in place concrete retaining walls that created non compliant path of travel conditions. HAI provided design services from concepts through construction support. The new play area features separate school aged structure and Tot structure as well as swings. Poured in place rubber features whimsical stars and moons further enhancing the play environment. Colored concrete, picnic tables, benches and tree wells replace the old, uninviting plaza. Existing large trees were protected in place. Today, the play area is highly used and treasured by the community.
