Project Description

The park is a 1+ acre neighborhood park which for years sat empty and used by locals as a dumping ground. It is located in an industrial area and bordered with heavily used railroad tracks. The park is dedicated to Cesar Chavez’s life and showcases a series of murals depicting the different phases of his life; from early years working in the fields, military service in World War II, to his non-violent protest for worker rights.
